Annika really liked this pair because I used the same fabric as her apron and her t-shirt dress. These shoes are great for using up scraps and little pieces of fabric. |
I'm particularly fond of stripes (and orange), so I think this pair is my favorite. :) |
The material that I used for the soles was a faux leather on one side, and a soft fleece on the other. When I told the lady at Fabricland what I was planning to make with it, she said, "oh that will be slippery on the floor." Ummm, these are size 0-6m - I don't think that's really a concern, but thanks anyway. :P
If you're interested in trying to make your own pair, I followed this tutorial.

Adorable! What is it with the fabric land people...I'm assuming you go to the one I have been going that's not far from us. I was buying new sewing machine needles and she looked at me like I was from Mars when I told her I just got the machine and didn't know what type to get. Even when I gave her the manual that came with it, she made me feel pretty dumb. I also had trouble there when buying supplies for a project Kiandra made in school and they could not locate the type of material that was requested and they made it seem like it was my fault it was on the list. It's a good thing they are close or I wouldn't shop there. Have you been to Marshall's-I bought Kezia's last project material there and they have a HUGE selection.
